Upon completion of this 8-hour class and passing the required course of fire test with each handgun you plan on including on your permit, and passing a written test, you will receive a signed copy of MCSO Form 46, required for your application to the Mendocino County Sheriff's Department for a California Concealed Weapons permit. Please complete all parts of this application to be accepted for this class. The course fee of $150.00 covers the first firearm. Qualifying with additional firearms is $10.00 each, payable at class time, by cash or check. This 8 hour course will be held at the 8 Mile Range. Between mile markers 8.0 and 8.22 on the south side of Hwy 20, Gate 450. More specific directions are available at redwoodpracticalshooters.org .

Marco Innocenti is an honorably retired California Law Enforcement Officer and the Lead CCW/Firearms Instructor for the Redwood Practical Shooters. He is also the Lead Instructor for Guardian Training Center in San Leandro CA; where he teaches California B.S.I.S. Exposed Firearms, Baton for Private Security Officers, California DOJ certified CCW training classes for several agencies throughout California, Federal LEOSA Firearms Qualifications for honorably-retired Peace Officers, and advanced firearms and tactical classes for Law Enforcement, Military, private security/executive protection, and private citizens.He is also currently working as a nationally recognized Firearms and Tactical Instructor for Suarez Tactics based in Prescott AZ, and for Samurai Security Operations based in Newark DE on a DoD/U.S. Navy training contract.He was a sworn Law Enforcement Officer and E.M.T./First Responder in the San Francisco Bay Area from 1992 until his retirement in 2017. He was sworn as a Police Officer, Deputy Sheriff, and as a District Attorney Inspector.
He worked Patrol, Court Security, Civil Services, as a Field Training Officer, and was promoted to felony-crimes Detective at his Police Department and Sheriff’s Office. He ran the Firearms/Tactical Training programs for regular sworn and S.W.A.T./Special Operations Units at all 3 of his Agencies in the positions of Lead Instructor/Rangemaster and Training Coordinator. He is a CA. P.O.S.T. Instructor for: Pistol, shotgun, and AR/carbine/Special Weapons; Arrest and Control/Defensive Tactics; Baton/Impact Weapons; and Taser.
The majority of his Law Enforcement career was spent assigned to S.W.A.T./Special Operations Teams in the positions of Point Entry/Assault and Maritime Interdiction Officer, and was a six-time competitor in the “Best in the West International S.W.A.T. Competition.” As a District Attorney Inspector, he was assigned to the City’s Dignitary Protection Detail and to a Dept. of Homeland Security Risk Assessment/Critical Infrastructure Protection team at the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center (J.T.T.F.) where he earned his Master’s Certificate in Critical Infrastructure Protection through the Dept. of Homeland Security/Texas A&M University. He was also court-certified as an Expert Witness in Firearms/Weapons and Use of Force.Throughout his law enforcement career, he moonlighted as a Bodyguard/Executive Protection Officer for A-list celebrity clients and Fortune 50 executives. Marco is also an N.R.A. Certified Law Enforcement Instructor/Range Safety Officer, a USCCA CCW Instructor, and an ASP-certified Baton, Handcuffing, and Tactical Illumination Instructor.
He has trained with members of Tier 1 military and S.W.A.T. units from around the world, as well as with Suarez International/Suarez Tactics, Northern Red, and Red Force L.L.C. He holds top gun/expert ratings from the prestigious Gunsite Academy in Arizona in 350 Defensive pistol, 223 AR/carbine, and 260 Shotgun.
Previously, Marco was the Chief Instructor/Director of Training for a private-sector company/range facility in the San Francisco Bay Area where he developed and delivered a comprehensive Firearms and Use of Force Training Program for Law Enforcement, Military, Security, and private citizens; that included 1811-certified qualifications for retired Federal Law Enforcement Officers, Taser/self-defense training; and customized training for celebrity/V.I.P. clientele. He previously owned his own L.L.C. providing the above, as well as disaster/emergency preparedness training and consulting.
Since graduating from the F.B.I. S.W.A.T. School in 1996, Marco has safely trained and certified hundreds of law enforcement officers, military personnel, private security/EP, and responsible citizens from the United States, Central and Southern America, Asia, Australia, and Europe in the safe and responsible use of firearms, defensive tactics, and emergency/disaster preparedness. Marco lives in the Casper area with his wife Natasha, (who grew up in Mendocino) and his children.
